New Leopard Print, Pink & Red TASERs, plus an mp3 carrying case

Taser International Inc.'s newest weapons for the public will come in leopard print and fit in a holster embedded with an MP3 player, the stun gun maker said Monday.

Taser wants to make it easy for people to integrate its C2 "personal protector" stun guns into their lives, company spokesman Peter Holran said.

"If people buy the C2 Taser and leave it in a drawer or under a shelf, it does them no good when they need it," Holran said.

The Taser C2, which shoots two electrically charged darts with the same shocking power as the police version, was launched last year. It previously came in four colours - silver, black, blue and pink. The company said Monday that it would also make the guns available in leopard print, "fashion" pink, and "red-hot" red.

"Women want whatever they're carrying - from a lipstick case to their eyeglass case to their Taser - to look nice and be something they won't mind if it falls out of their purse," Holran said.
The Taser MPH (Music Player Holster) will hold 1 gigabyte of music, enough to allow wearers to listen to a variety of songs while carrying a stun gun on their hip.

ADVANCED TASER TECHNOLOGY

The TASER C2 is the most sophisticated personal protection system ever developed. TASER systems are Electronic Control Devices (ECDs), which use a replaceable cartridge to deploy two small probes that are attached to the TASER C2 by insulated conductive wires with a maximum length of 15 feet (4.5 meters).

Taser's Response to Canada incident

"This tragic incident appears to follow the pattern of many in-custody deaths. Historically, medical science and forensic analysis has shown that these deaths are attributable to other factors and not the electrical discharge of the TASER® system. Specifically in Canada, while previous incidents were widely reported in the media as "TASER deaths," the role of the TASER device has been cleared in every case to date – including the widely publicized Bagnell in-custody death in Vancouver where the TASER device was cleared by an inquest jury. Cardiac arrest caused by electrical current is immediate. This video indicates that the subject was continuing to fight well after the TASER application. This continuing struggle could not be possible if the subject died as a result of the electrical current causing cardiac arrest. His continuing struggle is proof that the TASER device was not the cause of his death."

On Thursday, November 29th at 9:00p.m. (MST) the Discovery Channel will air a “Non-Lethal Special” episode of Future Weapons which will include TASER. This is the second episode of the shows third season and the part on TASER covers our company background (as told by Rick S.), the X26 as a current device in use by military and law enforcement, and the XREP as a future use-of-force option for the military and law enforcement.

In July, we spent a day in Roswell, NM with the Future Weapons film and production crew shooting the footage for this episode and at the end of the day, everyone on the set made it a point to tell us how impressed they were with our company and that our TASER technology and devices are one of the greatest advancements in modern day weapons.
